Hotelier Andre Balazs has put his magic touch on The Standard Hotel, located in the meat packing district of New York City. Considering that many New Yorkers (myself included) often pack their bags and spend a few nights in the city, this hotel seems like just the place that many of us are looking for. The main attraction of the hotel is the spectacular view of the the city. Imagine overlooking the Hudson River after a night of dinner, dancing and cocktails. From what I understand the bed is heavenly which is a huge plus and must in my book. The hotel's decor is chic, modern and minimalist, just the way that I like it. The front desk customer service has garnered a great reputation, as well as the delicious food and efficient room service. This is my kind of hotel. Just incase you're wondering what that red vending machine is doing in the photo below, well believe it or not it's for bikinis, swim trunks, and art. Too cool for school! A little birdie told me that they will be making their appearance at the hotel sometime soon in the very near future. I will let you know how everything went as soon as I make my way there.
