Pass The Salt Please

When it comes to salt, I must confess that there are those that consider me a snob. There is no way on the face of this earth that I could happily sprinkle anything coming out of a blue cardboard box.
Himalayan Pink Salt is a pure and hand-mined salt that is derived from the Himalayan Mountains. I won't get too technical with you, but I will tell you that this salt is not only hand-mined but hand-washed and sun-dried as well. Personally, I use this on everything from salad to salmon, potatoes and vegetables.  Cyprus Flake salt is one that has a crunch to it, and is commonly used in baking as well as a garnish for vegetables and fish. This is also another favorite of mine. Fleur de Sel from Paris is also amongst my collection. This fine salt consists of fine crystals that will dissolve instantly on the food. Because of the way that this salt is harvested, it is highly regarded among connoisseurs. Generally I  seem to purchase my salts in beautifully thick glass jars. When I saw the beauties above, I confess that I was smitten. This would make a lovely gift for anyone that prefers the purest ingredients in their food preparation.
