I am a serious chocolate/candy lover in every respect! So naturally I am also very particular about what I allow to pass my lips. My feeling is that if you're going to eat any food, then it better be of the highest quality possible! Which brings me to one of the best days of my life thus far. On that day I received an exquisite array of some of the best chocolates that I have ever tasted. That was the day that I had the pleasure of being introduced to the very appropriately named Chocolate Inspirations!
Pam Vieau and her daughter Marcy launched Chocolate Inspirations in 1992. The two took their mutually immense love for chocolate and combined that with Pam's love and extraordinary talent for cooking and Marcy's over abundance *which I can personally attest to!* customer service/people skills, and combined all of those very valuable attributes to create and grow the now very well respected Chocolate Inspirations!
If by any chance you might be under the impression that this is just another "chocolate boutique", well you couldn't be more wrong! Chocolate Inspirations serves up an incredibly delectable menu! Not only was their English Toffee recognized by the National Association of Fancy Foods in 1992, but they have also managed to dream up the most fabulously unique chocolate treats that I have seen and tasted in some time! Exhibit A- The Gourmet Hot Chocolate Cup!
This item resembles a chocolate lollipop, when in fact it will quite possibly offer you a chance to drink the best hot chocolate you have ever tasted, or a wide variety of other scrumptious desserts! I had the dark and regular chocolate, but it also is available in several other exotic flavors such as Cinnamon, Latte, Raspberry, Irish Cream, and Expresso. As if that isn't enough, the Chocolate Cups as well as many other items are also available in Vegan! My taste buds are extremely sensitive, and I can confidently assure you that this is Gourmet Vegan at it's best! I shared mine with quite a few serious chocolate connoisseurs, and each and every one of them was as equally impressed as I was. Not one person (including myself) could tell the difference between the Vegan and the regular!
The Toffees Brittles and Barks are all handmade in small batches, and all were crisp, fresh, and "screamed homemade"! Again, as with the Chocolate cups, it was virtually impossible to distinguish between the regular and the Vegan, and all were Blue Ribbon and first rate quality!
Last but by no means least, the cookies were completely out of this world! The Oatmeal Raisin and the Chocolate Chip VEGAN (unbelievable!) are in the top 5 of the best cookies that I have ever eaten! Again, everyone agreed that there was nothing in the look, feel, or taste that would suggest that you were eating anything less than an award winning cookie! Chocolate Inspirations is a 5 Star experience in every sense of the word! On a final extremely lovely note, Chocolate Inspirations co-founder Marcy founded Chocolate For Charity! This wonderful company donates a portion of their proceeds from selected items to animal shelters around the country! This is obviously one company that is nothing less than a serious Class A Organization, and we think they are absolutely fabulous!
